Product Reshoring

If you are currently having products manufactured overseas and would like to bring production back to the UK, we can help.

The first option is for us to use your existing tooling.  Between production runs, we can store and maintain tools for you.

If, however, you don’t have access to tooling or drawings, we can still help.

The second option is to reverse engineer your product, using an existing sample component as a reference.  Until recently, this involved the laborious process of taking hundreds of measurements with a CMM.  We can now use scanning technology to rapidly capture dimensional data and convert this into detailed CAD drawings and models.  We use these to replicate or ‘fine-tune’ the original design.  3D printing technology can then produce a detailed model that allows full product verification before new production tooling is laid down.

The third option is to develop a new and improved ‘version 2.0’ of your existing product.  This has the benefit of revitalising your product line and potential for increased sales while allowing you to maintain a source of supply during the development period.
